Whether you have a weekend away or need to transfer your horse for other reasons, being confident that your horse is being kept safe and comfortable by using good towing skills will allow you and your horse to arrive at your destination relaxed and ready to ride.

Taking your horse on the road can be a stressful experience. It is not just the manoeuvring and reversing of the horse trailer itself or the experience of driving on motorways, narrow roads and country lanes that can leave you on edge, it is the worry that your horse is as safe and as comfortable as possible. It is our job to give you the skills to make sure this happens and that you drive away with confidence.

Designed For

Horse and horse trailer owners who would like to learn about towing a horse trailer safely on the road and reverse it with confidence.
This half day course includes off-road exercises as well as on-road towing training. Delivered on a one-to-one basis, AM or PM sessions available.

You will learn how to tow safely on the road, relevant UK towing law will be explained with regards to speed limits, motorway rules etc.

Summary

Our courses are designed to suit you and while we provide a structured training session for you to follow, if you need to focus on a particular area, we are happy to factor these requirements into the training.
This is a hands-on, practical driving course which you can take using your own horse trailer and car. If you don’t have a horse trailer yet or want some experience of towing before taking the plunge, Towing Solutions has a trailer you can use as well as a vehicle available for hire if required.

On Completion

After completing your Horse Trailer Course, you’ll receive an email with your Certificate of Attendance and an e-copy document that includes key details from your training session — plus some bonus top tips to help you enjoy safe, confident driving and manoeuvring.
